أمانة
Amanat is a browser and a set of decentralized services where your data belongs to you: it isn't kept on someone else's servers, sold, or disclosed.
Amanah (Arabic أمانة) is something entrusted to a person for safekeeping on the condition that it is not disclosed. An object, a secret, a given word — each is an amanah.
For the one who accepts it, an amanah is a responsibility: to keep what was entrusted, not to use it for one's own ends, and to return it to its owner. In the Islamic tradition, faithfulness to a trust is inseparable from faith.
We build our services on the same principle. Your messages, files and history are an amanah. A service may carry them, but it cannot read them, quietly keep them, or disclose them to anyone.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا
Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due.
